The Callous Blog

I'm in a bit of a bind when it comes to Callous for the month of May 2010 until June 11, 2010.  During this time I'll be undergoing a portion of my specialization training in a different hospital from where I usually work in.  Unfortunately I don't think I'll be able to work on the comic strip while rotating there so I've reluctantly decided to reduce my comic output to one a week.  These will be the Sunday comics.

I realize that this comes in pretty short notice (I've been trying to figure out how to continue drawing comics in spite of my training changes... to no avail) but I'm putting out a call for guest art or comics to help fill in the publishing dead space within the weeks I'll be unable to produce Callous.  I need your help!

If you're interested, please take note of the following guidelines:

• Please keep things Callous-related!  Your guest artwork or comic strip should feature at least one recurring character from the Callous comic series.  If you have your own comic series feel free to feature your characters in the guest artwork/strip!
• Your submitted work will be published at a 697 pixel width, regardless of the height, at 72 dpi.  Please adjust your lettering or font sizes with this in mind so that your comics would remain legible.
• Please submit your images in JPEG format.
• I work really hard to maintain Callous as an all-ages comic strip.  Please keep things G-rated! I'll accept any PG-7 material and some PG-13 depending on the content.  As for being funny?  Of course, it's better that way, but feel free to be expressive with your comic strip within these boundaries, funny or not.
• Yes, it's already May! So I'll publish your work as soon as I can once I get them!

If you wish to add your own headers and footers, that's ok with me.
Immediate posting of approved artwork/comic strips will end on June 11, 2010, after which I'll resume daily publishing of Callous. However, if I do receive material after that date, I'll try to find a day to post it soon after.

UPDATE: My training has been extended to June 11, 2010 and so has the time that I'll need guest material! I have made the appropriate changes above. Thank you for your time!
